The beads and the bubble

Those days when I'm really down I always locate my beads and make things. This time I made one very long necklace and one bracelet. Very pretty. The pic here is from one of my other bead projects - one I had last summer after a quarrel with my mom. Sorry about my fair skin though, not very pretty. ;)

Making these things always makes me feel better. I think it's because I really hate how the hole in the bead is almost too small for the string, and every bead is a struggle. It puts perspective on my own problems and it makes them easier to deal with.

My next project, on the other hand, is getting our new fab IKEA book shelf up and running in our living room. The shelf is green (like the others) and will soon soon be full of the books and things we have laying round. This cleaning and organizing thing that people keep buzzing about has never been for me and K. Maybe later.

Being gay 101

I just today realized that I never outed myself in the studie where I worked before. The radio studio in Vancouver, that is. I was back there briefly yesterday and accidently mentioned K. Pete, the middleaged fat guy who knows everything about radio - and nothing else, asks who she is. First I thought like - "Uh... a friend." Seeing how we're not out as a couple.

For a second there I really wanted to know who he would react - so I told him. Yeah, usually when I tell people - especially in his age - they either avoid it or tell me how okaaaay they are with it.

His reaction - he raised his eyebrows and says - "that makes two of us" and instead I do the reaction with the dropping mouth. I'm always right with these things - my gaydar is the best ever. With him though, I never would have guessed. This is gonna take a while to heal.

To burn some moneh

Me and K and a Mastercard. Oh yeah. It was funneh. We shopped and we ate and we strolled.

I found the most adorable little turquise lamp and a pillow with this really retro orange and blue pattern. We found some nice candles and also got now bedsets with green flowery pattern.

When we got home we landed on a coach each and just layed there for a while. Who knew it would be so exausting to shop? Well, as my daddy would say: det ar ett kart besvar. :) Or, actually, he probably wouldn't cuz he's not really the shopping type.
